You can get a 2006 Suzuki Boulevard M50 for $6,995cdn; a 2006 GV650 for $5,595us from US with the exchange rate being 1:1.1 currently, so... how much is our Canada Hyosung distributor ripping us (or even the dealers here) ??

After a little research I found the duty on a motorcycle from the US is 12% under the Free Trade act and a bike from Japan or Korea would be higher. For the GV650 you must also factor in the exchange rate when Hyosung Canada set the retail price (that may be why dealers are offering a discount now). Figure 12% duty more than Americans pay and 14% exchange last January and $5995 US translates to about $7645. So they're probably nailing us an extra $1000
